How do I use the Email Designer?

Follow

Our easy-to-use Email Designer makes it simple to create custom emails, either from scratch or using one of our professionally designed templates. The Designer has intuitive drag-and-drop editing features that allow you to add content, images and layouts to your email, create columns, and adjust padding, margins, and spacing.

The Email Designer features a variety of Content Blocks. Each block has its own toolbar, which allows you to make edits and customizations to the block such as font size, colors, borders, alignment, etc.

There are also a variety of Layouts available to use. Layouts are just groups of blocks that work as a single unit. For example, there are Layouts available for creating two columns of text or three columns of images with text. Layouts can be dragged into the template as sections.

In the Email Designer, emails are created in sections. You can add and delete sections and drag blocks into sections to design your email. Each section has its own settings so you can adjust the spacing, add a background color or image or align a block in the section. Just click in the section to reveal the Section Settings cog.

You can also create columns within a section by dragging multiple blocks in to the section. Each column will have its own settings so you can adjust the spacing, add a background color or image or align a block in the section. Just click in the column to reveal the Column Settings cog.

Adding Sections

There are two ways to add new sections to your email:

  1. Select the Section block and drag it into the template

To use the Layouts:

  2. As you drag your Layout to the desired location in the template a Drop Section Here box will appear

There are also Global Controls that you can use to customize to the entire template. You can set a background color or image for your email or select a universal font. Just click the cog icon in the top right of the Email Designer to find these tools.

While working on your email if you make a mistake or accidentally delete something you can use the Undo and Redo controls in the top bar of the Email Designer to help you out.

You can also switch between the regular view and full screen view of your email by clicking the Full Screen icon in the top bar of the Email Designer.
