How do I create an event?

In PushSend an event has three parts: the Event Details, an Event (Landing) Page and an Event Email. When creating an event you can choose to skip creating an event email.

 To create an event:

  1. In the main menu, click the Events link
  2. Click the Create Event button
  3. Fill in the Event details and click the Next Step button
    • If you select Venue for Location you will enter the Venue name and address
  4. Choose an Event page template or choose to start from scratch
  5. In the Event Page Designer, select the Page Settings tab
  6. In the Customize Page URL field, edit the end string of the URL for the landing page (optional)
  7. Fill out the SEO Attribute fields
  8. Enter your Google Analytics ID and/or Facebook Pixel ID (optional)\
  9. Select the button(s) or form(s) you want to use to track conversions
  10. Then select the Design tab, and design/create your event page
  11. When you are finished designing your event page, click the Next Step button
  12. Now you can choose to:
    • create an event email
    • skip creating an email by clicking the Skip button
    • stop here and save your work by clicking the Save and Close link

If you choose to create an event email:

  1. You can select an email template or create an email from scratch
  2. In the Email Designer, go to the Email Settings
  3. Add your subject line
  4. Enter your Preview Text (optional)
  5. Select your Sender
  6. Select your email recipients. You can:
    • Choose a list
    • Create a new list (see How do I create a list?” andHow do I add my contacts to PushSend?”)
    • Create a segment (see “How do I segment contacts?”)
  7. When you complete your Event email, click the Next Step button to go to the Review page
  8. On the Review page, review all the details for your event, event page and email
  9. Schedule your email
  10. Click the Save and Close button if you are not ready to Publish your landing page or send your email
  11. Click the Publish button if you are ready to make your landing page live and send your email

If you click the Skip button:

  1. You will be directed to the Review page.
  2. On the Review page, review all the details for your event and landing page
  3. Click the Save and Close button if you are not ready to Publish your landing page
  4. Click the Publish button if you are ready to make your landing page live 

If you click the Save and Close link:

  1. Your Event will be saved and you’ll be directed to the Event Details page
