How do I set up a custom domain to use for sending emails?

Follow

If you sign up for PushSend with a custom email domain (e.g., john@yourcompany.com) or if you add a new sender with a custom sender domain, you will need to verify the sender domain.

If you signed up with a custom sender domain:

  1. Select Settings from the drop-down menu in the top right
  2. Click the Email Senders tab
  3. Click on the Sender Name
  4. A popup will be displayed with instructions on how to verify your custom sender domain

If you are creating a new sender with a custom sender domain

  1. Enter the Sender information (name and email addresses)
  2. Click the Create button
  3. A popup will be displayed with instructions on how to verify your custom sender domain

The popup displays the CNAME records you need to add to your DNS (Domain Name System) to authenticate your custom sender domain.

So you need to go to your domain host’s website to find specific instructions on how to add CNAME records. Here are some links to instructions on adding CNAME records for some popular domain hosts:

GoDaddy

Name.com

Bluehost

Namecheap

Dreamhost

After you've added the CNAME records to your DNS, go back to the Email Senders tab in PushSend and click on the sender name to display the popup. Then click the Verify button to verify your custom sender domain. Once your sender is verified it can be used to send emails.

Just remember it may take up to 48 hours for DNS records to be updated, so you may need to come back again later to complete verification process.
